libwebkit-dev software package provides Transitional package for the development files of WebKitGTK+, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libwebkit-dev
libwebkit-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libwebkit-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libwebkit-dev *
You will get with libwebkit-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
